I’ve got two very different events coming up – but each as interesting and relevant to my preocupations as the other.
Firstly, Saturday August 25th I’ve been invited by the Molonglo Group to speak on art, gentrification and development (a recurring theme for me lately). It’s part of a series of workshops and presentations they’re running as a form of community consultation for their latest project at Dairy Road in Canberra, and the event takes place at the site. I’ll be joined by Molonglo Group’s curator of places and programs Yasmin Masri for what will be a conversational deep-dive into what is a particulary knotty topic. Take a look at the event page here and follow links to register.
Then, on Monday September 3rd, at home in Braidwood, I’m joining a panel discussion on women’s health as part of this lovely event ‘First Served’. It ties into a wider women’s health week initiative to encourage women to put their wellbeing first. I hope to make some contributions around creativtiy and motherhood, both things being so integral to who and how we are in this world. Find out more about the event here.
